In what should have been an unsettling occasion to say the least, a 60-year-old resident of a house northeast of Arcata was the sufferer of an tried house invasion.
In line with HCSO spokesperson, Samantha Karges, “On April 5, 2021, at about 1:53 a.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies had been dispatched to a residence on the 7100 block of West Finish Highway for the report of an tried house invasion.”
Karges stated, “The sufferer advised deputies that she was at house when she heard pounding on the door. In line with the sufferer, an unknown probably feminine suspect reportedly made obscure threats in the direction of the sufferer whereas trying to get contained in the residence.”
The scenario then escalated. “The suspect reportedly tried to kick within the door, and when that was unsuccessful, the suspect stabbed the door with a pair of scissors,” Karges advised us. “The suspect then left in an unknown path.”
A search of the world by deputies didn’t find the suspect.
